Fashion Tips
Kids are kids. Before you start buying
all these cute colorful skirts and dresses remember that children’s clothing should first
of all be convenient and allow kids to
move, jump, run and play comfortably. In addition,
it is important to consider any fabric’s
nature before buying children’s clothing.
Make sure the fabrics "breathe" and that your child
is not sensitive or allergic to the material.

1) Dress
according to shape of body. Choose lighter clothing such
as cotton, linen, wool jersey or crepe.
At the beginning of a new season, when most
people buy new clothes, it is advisable to take shoes
for repair and to mend or alter relevant clothes in
readiness for the new season.
2) Go for the image that will make them look and
feel good.
3) Accessorize
to reflect personal style! Accessories can make an otherwise dull-looking
outfit look exceptionally good. Kids accessories
are just as important as grown-up ones. Adorable colorful necklaces, shoes,
and purses are always a winner!
4) Put on clothes that actually fit. Be extra careful
choosing any clingy material. Clingy or stretchy
materials often reveal bumps and bulges. It is very
important to balance silhouettes.
5) You can make outfits
balance by using
complimenting sizes and shapes. An example is putting on
fitted tops with bottom that are looser.
6) Do not be afraid to do some color experimentation
with your clothes.
7) Do not neglect the basics. Boys should always have
track pants, khaki pants, jeans, basic tees and casual
pullovers. Girl's should always have sweater
jackets, leggings, long sleeve t shirts, 2-3 dresses,
2-3 skirts, jeans, khakis and an array of 2 piece
matching outfits.
8) Choosing
the right color combination might be
tricky. Kids’ designers suggested 3 interesting
color approaches for 2009:
-
Option
A: Simple and classy.
-
Calm classic colors (jeans blue, grey,
white, black) with classic patterns and
-
Occasional drop of color in
shoes or accessories. This approach is always
stylish and it’s hard to make a mistake: it’s
appropriate for any occasion.
-
Option
B: Mixing traditional bright kids
colors (pink, blue, yellow, green)
with classic white, grey and black.
9) Have yours
kids pick out 5 of their favorite outfits on Sunday
night. For the week, choose the outfit the night before
school so they are ready to go in the morning! |
