Leslie
When I started working out with Tim, it was around the same time I
started letting my 8 year old son go outside with other kids without
"mommy" supervision. There were older kids in the neighborhood that
thought it would be fun to "tease" the younger kids. My son, my first
born, would run inside crying, having his feelings hurt by these
bullies.
Tim decided to show my son some self defense moves, not to
initiate them, but a way to block a punch or get out of a sticky
situation if the need ever arose. Those 3 or 4 sessions that he had
with him made more of an impact than I could ever imagine! His self
confidence and self esteem soared and he knew he could hold his head up
high and play like a normal 8 year old boy without fearing that he would
get picked on.
Also at that time, I started a company called Ellie's Closet. It was
selling boutique-style clothes only available at Home Parties, but more
importantly, these were adorable clothes for little kids and all priced
under $35!
Since having a degree in Fashion Merchandising with a
concentration in Textiles and Design, I concentrated on finding quality
materials that were easy to wash and wear, and that didn't cost a
fortune. My business took off, and when these 2 events happened, Tim and
I came up with Fitkidsconnection.com!
Our goal is to have every child feel like they can handle any situation
thrown at them while also looking and feeling good about themselves. It
is the only thing as a parent that I could ever wish for with your
child.
High self-esteem and self-confidence will last them a lifetime...enjoy
the site! -Leslie
